GritTec has updated the licensing model for voice identification technology GritTec's Speaker-ID (Version 3.10)
GritTec's developers have added supporting of hardware key for
protection of GritTec's software in a new version of Speaker-ID
engine. The hardware security with using electronic key was
presented by Aktiv Company.
Three licensing types are used both in software licensing model and
in licensing model using of electronic key:
- USB-key only for training mode;
- USB-key only for identification mode;
- USB-key for training/identification mode.
Depending on the mode of Speaker-ID engine operation USB-key is used
with different algorithms of hardware checking of license
authenticity. By-turn USB-key has integrated protection from
analysis of communications protocol and this protection is based on
mutual identification of electronic key and software which uses this
electronic key.
It should be noted, that using license model based on hardware
protection that is using electronic key considerably increases speed
of Speaker-ID engine. Comparing processing time using software
protection model with hardware protection its was noticed that in
the last case processing speed decreased by 30% in training mode and
by 35% in voice identification mode.
Another interesting point concerning electronic key is that
additional installing of software for supporting electronic key is
not required. In addition the same USB-key can be used with
different versions of MS Windows x86/x64, Linux x86/x64 platforms.
At present updated of SDK-libraries are accessible for software
developers in a form of object code with supporting of Windows
x86/x64 platforms. In the nearest time it's also planned to add
supporting of Linux x86/x64 platforms, that was not possible before
because of lack of software protection support.
