Overview
Phone Talk Detector (PhTD) is used for detection of speech intervals.
PhTD is modification of voice activity detector (VAD) and speech-end point
detector (SEPD).
Such detector can be used in devices, where it is important to detect exactly fragments of speech signal.
For instance, in telephone systems, when it is necessary to detect moment of the beginning of talk between speakers on telephone line and its duration.
Developed detector has presented itself in a good light on the background of external noises, channel distortion, pulsed and musical hindrances, appearing in the channel.
Phone Talk Detector can be effectively used:
- Wireless telephony systems;
- VOIP telephony;
- Voice messaging services (voice mail);
- Mobile phones or without “hands free” system;
- Call service centers;
- In other devices, where it is important to detect exactly fragments of speech signal.
